2014 got us to places we never thought we'd see in our lives. From the southern tip of the Americas, in Patagonia, to the northern tip of Québec and Labrador, we spent the last year fishing for salmon, trout, pike, char... and it was awesome. There are just a few fly-fishing filmmakers who stand head and shoulders above the rest, and the folks from Hooké fall into that category. Their footage of Atlantic salmon fishing from their home province of Quebec, as well as the stuff that they shoot on their travels to South America, are pretty awe-inspiring. Even better, they seem to have an unbelievable amount of fun on these adventures, never taking themselves too seriously. Here’s a short piece on their 2014 travels, with a but of narration for context. Great stuff. 2014 got us to places we never thought we'd see in our lives. 1. Just the thing that is needed before settling down to a long winter’s nap, unless steelheading is in the cards.

  2. Love watching these videos before a day of fishing to get me pumped up and excited! Good job keep it up orvis!

  3. This is incredibly well done and inspiring! It motivates me to get back to Oregon soon for some steelhead. Thank you for this!! This in itself is a ‘prize’!

  4. These videos make me itch under the skin and feel like the only way to scratch is to hit the river for some fly therapy. Love it.

  5. One of the best videos I have ever seen! Sent chills down my spine, over here and Montana we share in adventures in the middle of bumble country on a constant basis and not only do we learn something new about our ecosystem but you learn new things about yourself. That is why this great sport is life or lifestyle not just a hobby. Awsome job because that is what everyone in this sport dreams for is a worldwide fly fishing trip with good buddies and big fish!

  6. I love watching The Tug after a long day of work… It takes me away for the moment … I love just love it.
