My wife and I were fly fishing with friend/guide Dean Whaanga in New Zealand when a combination of bad weather and good timing resulted in a fish giving us the experience of a lifetime. A lifelong angler and bird hunter, Simon Perkins' interest in film heightened during his days on the water and in the field as a guide in Montana. He became intrigued with trying to capture the essence of fly fishing and hunting on camera. The hobby quickly turned into an addiction.
